The Kickstarter campaign for a post-apocalyptic board game Waste Knights: Second Edition is scheduled to last until March 13th, 23:59 GMT+1.
Waste Knights: Second Edition is set in dystopian Australia based on grim visions of an economic crisis, machinations of powerful corporations, natural disasters, and disintegration of the modern society. On one hand, you can feel inspirations from cult post-apocalyptic movies and books, such as Mad Max, Waterworld, The Postman, or Stephen King’s The Dark Tower. On the other hand, it is a very original approach to the genre, with a strong base in Australian culture and geography. You can be sure that you will enjoy hours of gameplay and exploration of this wild continent.
1-4 players become “children of New Australia”, experiencing adventures featured in a huge Book of Tales. Each gameplay is unique thanks to lots of decisions that players can make. Each choice brings different results and, in the long run, might lead to a different ending. Players use vehicles to travel around ruined Australia, using fuel collected during the game. On the way, they encounter haywire robots, mutants or ruthless gangs, making day-to-day survival a tough challenge.
Waste Knights: Second Edition was funded in 90 minutes. At this point, the campaign has reached 450% of its starting goal.
Inside the box of this story-driven board game you will find: large, 6-panel board; 5 knight sheets with their miniatures; 4 vehicle sheets; over 170 cards and 150 tokens; 8 custom plastic dice and over 30 plastic resource markers (Ammo, Fuel, Meds). In addition to this core content, the Kickstarter campaign has already added 16 Stretch Goals featuring tons of attractive elements.
The publisher of the game is Galakta – the company responsible for the retail version of This War Of Mine: The Board Game and its expansion. Galakta’s development team has also brought to you such games as King and Assassins, Age of Thieves, Andromeda or Zombie Terror. The company also works hand in hand with other big publishers, e.g. Fantasy Flight Games, Kosmos or Ares, in localizing their games in Poland.
