The game has been created by Jason Keegan and Tyler Woodruff, two friends who live in Brisbane, Australia. Their idea is to create a post apocalyptic game that can be enjoyed without accessing the Internet or purchasing expensive gaming consoles.
The two friends created Wastelanders as a post apocalyptic trading card game so that more and more people can play it and enjoy their favorite genre of gaming, without having to spend money on purchasing gaming consoles. Besides, they want their game to have the maximum reach. The creators have also hired an artist who is working on creating the illustrations that will bring the game to life. They are also open to ideas and suggestions from fans.
The creators need funds to turn their dream into a reality. In the process of doing so, they want to provide the fans with an opportunity to get involved in the project. They are encouraging fans to fund their project and get rewarded for the same. Fans can pledge any amount in the range of $1 – $7500 (or more). About Wastelanders
Initially, the game will be composed of character classes, items, battlefield effect and base cards. The Item cards will be class specific, which include Mech Class, Creature Class, Wastelanders Class and Survivor Class. The Battlefield Effect cards will have detrimental effects on the players when they are on the field. The Base cards are the ones that the characters in the game will defend.
The game has unique rules that help in creating a fun and intriguing experience for the players. The game will encompass all facets of the genre to provide the players with an ultimate post apocalyptic gaming experience. The draft rules of the game can be downloaded from DropBox.
