Toronto, ON – As of Thursday, November 12, 2015, Yocto, the first credit-card sized Multi Tool (as far as we know) to be made of 301 Half-Hard Stainless Steel, a metal stronger and more durable than even Grade 5 Titanium, was released on Kickstarter. Yocto combines 25 functions into a tool small enough to fit in your wallet while still maintaining comfort of use, reliability, and efficiency. Everything from a set of 13 wrenches to a Phone Stand that can hold your phone while watching a movie or browsing images.
One of Yocto’s signature features is the rope tie. This pattern of 4 holes allows rope, such as paracord to be secured to Yocto using only a simple half hitch knot. This allows for items to be suspended from or tied to Yocto when mounted, useful while camping, tying things together, and more.
Yocto’s other notable features include a set of 4 sizes of bike spoke wrenches, a flat-head screwdriver, and a bottle opener. The former two of which have CNC milled beveled edges to improve their functionality and efficiency. In addition to this, even basic tools have been incorporated into Yocto, such as laser engraved rulers in both centimeter and inch units that can also be used as a straight edge when drawing or sketching.
The construction process of Yocto employs advanced manufacturing techniques such as laser cutting and CNC machining and ensures accuracy to ±0.003″ (0.076mm) on all dimensions, so you can count on Yocto being accurate. The laser engraving on Yocto’s surface extremely durable ceramic coating that will withstand everything from daily wear and tear to chemical solvents.
