Singapore, 16 February 2017 — Watching, waiting, commiserating, Red Giant Balloon™ celebrates Valentine’s Day with the launch of their newest zombie themed card game, District D: Spleen Battle. Partake in the hunt for the mouth-watering spleens as you compete alongside fellow zombie comrades in a post-apocalyptic environment.

District D: Spleen Battle is an addictively simple card game in which players take on the role of lovable zombies competing to survive the apocalypse. Players win the game by consuming spleens using the set of dentures before being sacrificed to the pit of spikes.

There are various action cards that can be used to mitigate, steal or force players to discard cards from their hand. The Got Teeth card allows you to steal the denture card from a player, while the Rot card forces another player to discard two cards from their hand. Players can also defend against attacks by using the Hold It! card, which negates the effect of the last action card played.

As the game progresses, players will have increased chance of drawing a spleen from the draw pile. To win this battle royale among zombies, players have to decide which cards to play, when to play them and which of your friends to target. Our rules allow you to develop fun or cruel strategies against one another.

The card designs are inspired by archetypal flesh-eating zombies seen in horror films and are fully hand-drawn to accentuate the vivid colour and details in each design. From the card designs to the construction of the game box, District D: Spleen Battle aims to transport you to a zombie apocalyptic world with a contemporary twist!

District D: Spleen Battle is a small box game, both in the size of the box but also in playtime. It can be played as a filler game between more time and mentally consuming games, or as a quick party game that can be played with friends over a couple of drinks without needing to set aside an entire night.
