New York, NY- Hailing from the beautiful and vibrant city of Panama City, Panama, Diablicosucio aims to add some new flavor in the contemporary designer menswear market. DiablicoSucio (Dirty Little Devil in Spanish) takes the name from the fun and sometimes scary folkloric character that can be found roaming the streets during Corpus Christi festival in the interior provinces of Panama. Fusing much of the distinct historical aesthetic found in the Americas with a contemporary global sensibility that delegate between Neo – classic, modern and edgy. Diablicosucio aims to push the design boundaries further out into uncharted territories and tell the sartorial stories of the streets of Latin America.

Diablicos recently launched it’s first kickstarter campaign to help get the idea off the ground and fund its first seasons production and to produce samples for subsequent season to follow. Our goal is to gain brand recognition in a global sense, and to offer more style options for persons looking to expand their wardrobe with high quality street inspired looks from “another place”. We hope to find open-mined and well traveled investors that are starting to see fashion growing beyond the traditional places and that are accustomed to high quality materials and craftsmanship that places like New York and Milan are famous for.

The brand is offering an array of styles ranging from knit tops, hats and woven shirts crafted mostly from Japanese and Italian goods and made in the US. The Diablicosucio brand wants to be known for their high-standards of quality and hands on approach to designs and manufacturing. “We take design serious and try to give our customers pieces that are just not trendy now but will have added value in that they can be easily worn year after year, season after season and occasion after occasion” says founder Robert Lindo.

If successful, production will start as soon as the Kickstarter Campaign ends, and a new expanded offering for next season would look to be shopped to retail partners in Early 2014. The founder also states he has some interesting ideas for a retail store concept he would like to bring to Panama City and hinted at what’s next in terms of inspiration for the new season. Inspiration for the next coming seasons range from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema to civil wars in Central America to the Salsa explosion of the 1970’s in New York City all done in a very stylish yet provocative manner.
