We here at Kept Shut Productions hope to send “The Door Kept Shut” to numerous festivals, and represent the city of Pittsburgh as a true contending film industry platform.
But we need YOUR help.
So far we’ve navigated through pre-production and production itself, funding the film entirely out of pocket. That’s thousands of dollars. With our amazing cast and crew, each of whom volunteered their time, we were able to invest primarily in equipment, effects, and of course crafts services. Locations were also donated by incredible people in and around the Pittsburgh area.
Now we’re in post-production and we need help. Among things that go into making a film, post-production is the most important. We’ve dried up our monetary resources getting the film this far, but now we need help bringing it the rest of the way. That includes everything from editorial costs to funding for film festivals around the United States and Canada.
Our goal if for $2,500. As we said before, we were able to bring the film this far but we’re unable to scrape up the last little bit.
The funds will go towards the cost of post-production and submission to festivals. We hope to send to as many festivals as we possibly can. We’ll be submitting in 2015 since we hope to finish post-production in November, 2014. We would like to enter into 15-20 festivals. A short list includes: Sundance, Tribeca, Slamdance, Austin, Toronto, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. (These are just a few of the more well-known we’ll be submitting to.)
Editorially includes, specialists for color correction, score, usage of the Adobe Premiere package, etc.

What you get:
Your name in the “Special Thanks” credits. ($250-$499.99)
Credit as a producer on IMDB. ($500-$999.99)
Credit as an Executive Producer on IMDB. ($1,000 and up)
Please see the perks for what you get under $250. There’s still some great perks!
If we don’t reach our entire goal, our funds will be put to exclusively editing. We wouldn’t be able to fund score or the amount of festivals we hope to enter. We are confident and optimistic that we will receive at least enough to cover the expenses of editing. Those of you supporters of the film community are too amazing to let this film fade into the shadows.
Thank you fellow film lovers!
